1102 GRAND

1102 GRAND is the largest carrier neutral data center facility in the Kansas City Metro area and is one of the fastest growing of its kind in the Midwest. The building serves as a major hub for voice and data traffic in the region by providing a facility with the necessary infrastructure for carriers, service providers, and enterprise customers to do business together reliably and cost effectively.

1102 GRAND provides vast connectivity options for voice and data communication tenants. Since the building is located directly on Kansas City's major metropolitan fiber ring, 1102 GRAND houses the vast majority of the area's carriers and service providers including AT&T, Level (3), Verizon Business, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communication, and Qwest. In additiona, a very respectable and diverse group of regional carriers, service providers and enterprise customers have built data centers, nodes and/or Points of Presence (POPs) at 1102 GRAND (see complete list). These tenants then extend into our carrier neutral Meet Me Room to interconnect with one another and provide service to other entities. Best of all, 1102 GRAND does not charge for cross connects in our Meet Me Room, thereby reducing the cost of doing business at 1102 GRAND so carriers can increase profitability or pass the savings onto their customers.

Moreover, 1102 GRAND has the luxury of being located on dual power grids. That means the building's primary power is supplied from two separate Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L) sources, and 1102 GRAND is one of only a few buildings in downtown Kansas City to be configured in this manner.
